Today I took Eli to the Head and neck surgeon. I had to take Kiah with me. I decided I would give Eli to the nurse and surgeon and I will take Kiah into the hall. I thought it would be very distressing to her to watch the procedure. She is very sensitive. She gets very upset anytime she sees anyone hurt. She will get this horrified look on her face and start to cry. When Eli cries she ties to soothe him (probably mimicking me) so in theory, if I don't react she might be fine. But I wasn't SURE that would be true. And I want to keep doctor's visits more pleasant for her. So out of the room we went.
Eli did really well. Kiah was a little nervous about leaving Eli. She doesn't understand time yet, so telling her "he will be back in a minute" doesn't help. The docotor said it went well. He cried for a couple of minutes, and then was fussy. But he is sleeping now.
